Jun 20th, 2009 (WAM): Ministry of Health announced today that two UAE citizens, who arrived back home from abroad, have been infected with H1N1 virus and are receiving treatment. Both of them are recovering and their health conditions are stable, said a statement. The ministry also asserted that the citizen who was tested positive for H1N1 a few days ago has completely recuperated and left hospital. The cases of suspected infection of the virus is natural and expected in an open world, and so the ministry calls upon the people to face such situations calm and composed without panicking or exaggerating, said the statement.

The ministry also urged the people to report any suspected case to the health authorities enabling them to adopt necessary measures, which have been proved to be very effective. The World Health Organisation (WHO) has declared H1N1 (Swine Flu) as a pandemic of moderate severity and its treatment is possible and available, whereas in many countries the patients are being treated at their own homes without isolating them, the statement noted.
