Jul 3, 2009 (WAM): Director of Dubai Charity Establishment for Women and Children Afra Al Basti met today with officials from legal directorate of the Dubai Police headed by Major Dr. Sultan Al Jamal, Director of Human Trafficking crimes control centre. They discussed cooperation between the two sides, especially on providing care for women and children who have become victims of the human trafficking. Major Al Jamal thanked the Establishment for the humanitarian role it plays by protecting the victims of this transnational crime. Recently a 13-year old girl victim was referred to the Dubai Charity Establishment for Women and Children for mental, social and medical support.
