Sep 14th, 2009 (WAM)--The Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH) will host 3D Cinema Week on 1-10 October 2009, the first of its kind in the Middle East. Over 700 people are expected to attend the event during each of its days, with a host of entertaining, educative and visually spectacular films lined up. "The 3D Cinema Week gives us an opportunity to showcase a different, modern facet of our efforts to promote arts and movies in the region, and reflects our vision for the region" said Mr. Abdulla Al Ameri, Director of Department of Arts and Culture at ADACH.

"Not only will the screenings broaden the minds of our present and future generations, it will also provide a one-of-a-kind 3D spectacle that people will remember for a long time to come," he added. The screenings in store are an eclectic mix of premieres, spanning a range of genres from comedies to thrillers, Hollywood blockbusters to documentary cinema, and animated films to music concerts.

This is coupled with a festive environment featuring various forms of entertainment that aim to interest different tastes of visitors. The event, aimed at supporting culture in Abu Dhabi, promises members of the public "a never-before-seen extravaganza that will sweep away their imagination," and which should not be missed.
